Ampthill and Flitwick are the two towns at the centre of our Bedfordshire work: a Georgian high street of practices, shops and offices in one, a station town of commuter housing and a growing business park in the other, and a ring of villages around both. We are there often enough that a job in Ampthill is scheduled like a local one, and the villages between here and Silsoe, Toddington and Bedford are all covered from the same visits.
What we do in Ampthill and Flitwick
- Electrical installations in older high street buildings: careful containment that will be seen, distribution brought up to standard, lighting, EICRs and remedial work.
- Fire alarms for practices, shops, offices, pubs and HMOs, including interlinked Aico alarms in let housing as an Aico Expert Installer.

Older buildings on the high street
Ampthill's high street is listed and old, and the electrical installations behind the frontages have grown piecemeal. The honest first step is an EICR that says what is there, with the codes explained in plain words and the remedial work priced item by item, so that the building can be brought up to standard in the order that matters and at a pace the business can afford. Containment is planned so that it is neat where it shows and hidden where it can be.
Flitwick and the business park
Flitwick's newer commercial units and the housing around the station are the other half of the work: fit-outs to a landlord's specification, EV charging, and the EICR and fire certificates for let property.
