The test between you and your ECS card.
Everyone who applies for an ECS card, the card that gets an electrician onto a site, has to pass the JIB's Health, Safety and Environmental assessment. It is 50 multiple-choice questions in 30 minutes at an approved centre, and it covers the things that keep people alive on site: fire, working at height, manual handling, PPE, reporting accidents, the hazards particular to electrical work.
Most people who fail do so on the breadth of it rather than the difficulty. This practice is built so that nothing on the syllabus is a surprise: learn each topic with the answers explained, then sit the mock exam as often as you like, timed and drawn the way the real one is.
What the exam draws from, and how many of each.
The number on the right is how many questions of each topic a 50-question exam takes, the proportions the JIB publishes.

The test every applicant for an ECS card has to pass, run by the JIB. It checks that you know how to work safely on site: 50 multiple-choice questions in 30 minutes, drawn from eleven topics from manual handling to electrotechnical hazards.
The mock exam uses the same shape: 50 questions, 30 minutes, the same eleven topics in the same proportions, and a pass mark of 43. The questions are our own practice questions on the published syllabus, not the live JIB bank, which nobody outside the JIB has.
Yes. You need an account so that your results and your progress through the sections are kept, and that is all the account is for.
No. Only the official assessment at a JIB-approved centre counts. Practising here is how you walk in knowing the answers.
The exam is marked on what you had answered when the clock stopped, exactly as the real one. If you close the page by accident, the sitting is still open: come back within the thirty minutes and carry on where you were.
