Watford is the southern end of our M1 patch, at junction 5 where the motorway meets the M25, and about forty minutes from the Bedfordshire villages we also cover. It is a proper commercial town: office parks at Croxley Park, Leavesden and Clarendon Road, the hospital and the clinics around it, a large town centre with Atria and the High Street, industrial estates at Watford Business Park and Greycaine Road, and a great deal of managed residential in the town and in Bushey and Garston around it.
What we do in Watford
- Office fit-outs and refurbishments at the business parks and on Clarendon Road, industrial electrical at the estates, EV charging in car parks, and the five-yearly EICR for managed buildings.
- Fire alarms for multi-tenant offices, shops, restaurants, hotels and blocks of flats, interfaced to a landlord's system where there is one.
- Emergency lighting to BS 5266-1, installed and tested annually.
- Structured cabling, comms rooms and Wi-Fi for offices and practices.
- Access control and door entry for multi-tenant buildings, residential blocks and car parks.
- CCTV for car parks, lobbies, retail and yards.
Managed buildings
Watford has a lot of multi-let offices and residential blocks run by managing agents, and a managed building wants one contractor who knows it: who has the drawings, knows which board feeds which tenant, holds the dates of every test and turns up when a tenant reports a fault. We take buildings on that basis and keep the records in a form that can be handed to a new agent or a purchaser's surveyor without explanation. See commercial and offices and landlords and property management.
Hospitality and retail
Hotels by the junction, restaurants and bars in the town centre and the retail of Atria get the same treatment as in Birmingham: planned around service, fire and emergency lighting kept in order for the inspections, CCTV that satisfies the licensing authority.
